The IP rights for Runequest were sold on to Avalon Hill (now part of Wizards of the Coast) who published the 3rd edition but with major rules changes and severe restrictions about using Glorantha, and so Avalon Hill attempted to use more generic backgrounds which ended up almost killing the game.

As someone who has made no bones over the last few years about declaring Runequest 6th edition (now Mythras) the single best fantasy RPG system published to date, I'm curious to see how the new edition/system is going to approach the same material. The cover (an adaption of the original, but less sexualized) is pretty nifty at the very least.
